The North Port Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of sporting options appropriate for all ages. For information on current or upcoming programs, download the Playbook or call 941-429-7275(PARK) and select option #4.
Adult Basketball League
League programs are offered in the Fall and Spring of each year and open to players age 16 years and older. Games are played at the Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W Price Blvd., 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. The team registration fee is $315 which consists of an 8-week regular season followed by single elimination playoffs.
Registration for the Spring League will be available starting on March 1, 2024 and closes on April 1, 2024. Games will start on April 1, 2024. Depending upon the number of registrations, the teams will be divided into a 40 years and older division and a 39 and under division. Games will be played 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. The league will run for eight (8) weeks followed by a post-season tournament.

Intro to Sports
Measure your child's interest in sports through our Intro to Sports program. One class per session will be dedicated to the basics of football, basketball, soccer, and baseball. Registration is required. No class on Nov. 10 and Nov. 24. Program for children in grades K-5. Location will be dependent on sport of the week.

Proud host: Gulf Coast Games Qualifiers
Seniors, do you want to participate in the Gulf Coast Games for Life as part of the Florida Senior Games? The Gulf Coast Games Series is a multi-sport event program for adults ages 50 and over hosted throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties and leading up to the Florida Senior Games in December. North Port Parks & Recreation is hosting two qualifying events listed below. For more information or to register for these or other Gulf Coast Games events please visit SCgov.net.
Saturday, Jan. 13, 8 a.m. / 5K race, MFCC, 6207 W. Price Blvd.
Wednesday, Feb. 1, 10 a.m. / Bag Toss (Cornhole), MFCC, 6207 W. Price Blvd.
Thursday, Feb. 2, 9 a.m. / Archery, MFCC, 6207 W. Price Blvd.
Table Tennis
Table tennis players of all skill levels are invited to this competitive settingto enhance their abilities. Beginners are encouraged and welcome to participate. Just drop in, borrow paddles and balls, or bring your own. Drop in to the Morgan Family Community Center on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 9 a.m.-noon. $3 for residents/$4 for non-residents. Program for ages 16+.
Pickleball
A cross between badminton, tennis and ping pong; pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Offered on a drop-in basis. Availability may change due to programs or events.
Drop-in to the George Mullen Activity Center on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
Fee: $3 for residents/$4 for non-residents/Free for members.
Program for ages 16+.
