Permitting

The Accela Citizen Application (ACA) is an online platform where contractors, citizens, businesses and visitors can create an account, apply for permits and receive real-time updates from the Devlopment Services team. This is all part of the City's dedication to improving transparency and streamlining the permitting process.

Planning & Zoning

The Planning & Zoning Division is responsible for current and long-range planning, review, and permitting of land development.

Projects

The City of North Port is continuously working to improve the quality of life for local residents. This includes large-scale projects.

Business Resources

Businesses of all sizes play a vital role in ensuring North Port’s desirable and sustainable lifestyle. Therefore, providing the business community with key resources is important.

Code Enforcement

Inspectors are proactive and will inform property owners of a violation of any North Port City Code, Unified Land Development Code, or Florida Building Code.

Natural Resources

The Natural Resources Division is dedicated to the stewardship of the City's natural resources, ensuring their conservation, protection, management, and utilization for the enrichment and enjoyment of present and future generations. The division also conducts floodplain reviews and assessments.
