Therapeutic Recreation
The North Port Parks & Recreation Department works in collaboration with local organizations to form the T-REC Coalition of Sarasota County, offering inclusive recreational programs for individuals with special needs. This coalition, made up of more than eight agencies, provides year-round activities for teens and adults with disabilities, including dances and sporting events at various venues. T-REC fosters opportunities to socialize, learn leisure skills and connect with the community in a fun, supportive environment. Teens, adults, caregivers, and family members are encouraged to join the activities. Check out the list of upcoming local T-REC opportunities below or visit the Sarasota County website for more information about upcoming events and activities throughout Sarasota County.
