Skill Building Programs

Health & Fitness

Through the George Mullen Activity Center and the Morgan Family Community Center, North Port Parks & Recreation offers a variety of fitness programs and activities to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Nature Programs

Nature programs invite the community to explore North Port’s outdoors through guided activities that highlight local wildlife, waterways and green spaces. These experiences help participants build new skills, discover ecological connections and enjoy time in nature together.

Sports & Leagues

The City of North Port is committed to the health and well being of it's residents and is proud to provide athletic programming opportunities.

Swimming Lessons

Swim lessons save lives. We offer a variety of class levels certified by the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program.

Therapeutic Recreation

The North Port Parks & Recreation Department works with numerous local organizations forming the T-REC of Sarasota County.

Youth Scholarships

The City of North Port's Parks & Recreation Department and the Social Services Division has established a recreation scholarship fund to help North Port youth who do not have the financial means to participate in recreation programs.
