North Port veterans and members of their families who need assistance, information and advice regarding benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs are encouraged to meet with Sarasota County Veterans Service Office.

The Sarasota County Veterans Service Office which has been housed at City Hall, will be moving effective January 18, 2022, to the Family Service Center at 6919 Outreach Way. All the resources that were previously available at city hall by the Veterans Service Office will be available at the Family Service Center. To make an appointment, please call (941) 429-7214.

There are no changes to the Sarasota County Veterans Services office located at 2200 Ringling Blvd in Sarasota. For more information about this location and to make appointments call (941) 861-2899.

If you do not have an appointment, be sure to call the Veterans Service Office before visiting as sometimes hours are adjusted based on staffing.

The Veterans Service Office representatives know the extent, the meaning and the application of laws that have been passed by the U.S, Congress in the interests of veterans and their dependents. They also know the rules and regulations adopted by the Department of Veterans Affairs to clarify and implement those laws.
