Camp & Care Programs

Give your child a fun, active and supportive place to spend the afternoon while giving your family a dependable transition between school and home. After School Care provides transportation from Cranberry Elementary School and Lamarque Elementary School to the George Mullen Activity Center, where trained staff provide supervision in a welcoming environment.

Each afternoon offers a balance of homework support, active recreation and hands-on enrichment. Children can enjoy a snack, receive help completing assignments and recharge through activities such as basketball, soccer and playground time. Crafts, STEAM activities and group projects encourage creativity, problem-solving and collaboration.

After School Care also gives children time to build friendships, discover new interests and feel connected to their peers. With opportunities to learn and stay active, participants can end the school day feeling supported while parents and caregivers have peace of mind knowing their child is engaged and cared for.

Fee: $75 per week, prorated for holidays and school closures

Children attending Lamarque or Atwater elementary school, may be eligible to participate. We are finalizing program details and transportation arrangements. Please complete the above form so we can contact you when registration opens.

Experience the adventure of  Winter Camp!

Registration opens on September 28!  Camp registration must be done in-person at the George Mullen Activity Center (1602 Kramer Way) or at the Morgan Family Community Center (6207 West Price Blvd.) during regular hours of operation. 

Join us for an unforgettable winter adventure at the annual Parks & Recreation Winter Camp at the Morgan Family Community Center! Designed for children and teens from first through eighth grade, our camp offers a safe and engaging environment filled with fun and creativity. Campers will enjoy a magical blend of seasonal excitement, creative presentations, and opportunities to form new friendships, making their winter break both memorable and enriching. 

Winter Camp is for students in K-8 grade. We will have two sessions:

Session One: Dec. 21 through Dec. 23, 2026, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 
Session Two: Dec. 28, 2026 through Jan. 4, 2027, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

• There will be no camp on Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
• Registration fee is $60/child for week 1 and $100/child for week 2.

• For parents/guardians who need it, winter camp early care services are available for $15/week and $15/week for after care.

• Early care hours: 7-8:30 a.m.
• After care hours: 4:30-6 p.m.
• During extended care time, low-key, self-directed activities are available for campers.

Get ready for a brand-new adventure this spring! Spring Break Camp is coming to the George Mullen Activity Center from March 16-20, 2026. 

Designed for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, this exciting program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day and offers a week packed with fun activities, exploration and social connection. The cost is $100 per child for the week.

School’s out? No problem! Register your child(ren) for Kids Day Out and give them a day filled with excitement and adventure! This action-packed "daycation" is designed to keep kids engaged, active and inspired with hands-on arts and crafts, wild experiments, outdoor adventures, and games galore. It’s like all the best parts of summer camp rolled into one unforgettable day!

Not only will kids make new friends and explore their creativity, but they’ll also build confidence, develop teamwork skills and stay active in a fun, safe environment. This is an opportunity for your child to enjoy a day filled with laughter, learning and boundless energy!

Fee: $20 per day
For parents/guardians who need it, morning and afternoon extended care is available for $5 each or $10 for both.

Start planning a summer your child will look forward to! Summer Camp Round Up will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 30, 2027, at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1607 Kramer Way.

Summer Camp Round Up gives families an early opportunity to register for GMAC Summer Camp and Teen Xtreme Camp and check summer planning off their list. Staff will be available to guide families through registration and help them take the next step toward a vacation filled with active recreation, engaging experiences and time with friends.

Camp offers children and teens a place to stay active, explore new interests and build connections while school is out. Familiar faces can reconnect, new friendships can begin and each week brings more opportunities to learn and create lasting summer memories.

Camp spaces fill quickly, so families are encouraged to attend and register early.  See you at the 'Round Up!'

Experience the ultimate blend of day camp excitement in our Teen Camp program!

Designed for older youth, this offering supports physical well-being through active recreation, mental well-being through skill building and creative challenges, and social well-being through teamwork and peer connection. With up to two field trips each week, participants enjoy a summer of adventure, growth, and lasting friendships.

Grades: 6-8
Dates: June 1 through Aug. 6
Time: 8:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m.

Fee: $115 per week; no camp June 18 or July 5

Participate in our Summer Day Camps Counselor-In-Training (C.I.T.) Program to develop leadership and communication skills. Our hands-on training is crafted to equip C.I.T.s with the skills and insight necessary for future roles within summer camps and is an excellent opportunity to earn volunteer hours.

Applications will be accepted starting on Feb. 1 and will be accepted through March 1. Limited space available. Applications must be dropped off in person at the Morgan Family Community Center - 6207 West Price Blvd. or the George Mullen Activity Center - 1602 Kramer Way.  Interviews will take place the week of May 4. Please bring your completed registration form with you. 

C.I.T. Program Application - Coming soon!

C.I.T. Program will be in session from Jun. 1 through Aug. 6 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. There will be no program on June 18 and July 5. This program is designed for students in grades 9-12 and has a cost of $35 per week.

Dive into an action-packed week of lifeguarding with our Junior Lifeguard Camp! Learn the essentials of lifeguarding, master water safety and develop rescue skills. Our hands-on course covers First Aid, CPR and AED training, equipping you with life-saving skills in a fun and interactive way. By the end of the week, you'll be prepared to make waves as a Junior Lifeguard, with opportunities to volunteer at NPAC and gain real-world experience by shadowing our professional lifeguards. At the successful completion of this course, participants receive a digital certificate for First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

Ages: 11-15
Fee: $200 per session
