Parks & Rec invites community to explore and protect local nature

Parks & Recreation is inviting residents of all ages to connect with the outdoors through a series of upcoming nature-based programs designed to educate, inspire and protect the city’s natural resources. From guided walks and habitat restoration to citizen science initiatives, these free programs offer meaningful ways for families and individuals to explore local ecosystems while giving back.

Summer fun starts here: Summer Camp Round Up set for Jan. 31

Families are invited to get a head start on summer planning during the City of North Port’s Summer Camp Registration Round Up on Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way. Hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department, this annual event provides families with the opportunity to ask questions and receive immediate confirmation of registration.
