Hurricane Debris Collection
Separate debris into six categories:
- Household hazardous waste
- Electronics
- Appliances
- Construction & demolition debris
- Vegetative debris
- Everyday household trash
Helpful hints for hurricane debris collection:
- Do not stack or lean debris near trees, poles, fire hydrants, meters, or other structures, as this can make removal difficult.
- If there is no sidewalk, ditch, or utility line in front of your house, place debris at the edge of your property before the curb.
- Debris should be placed curbside without blocking the roadway or storm drains.
- Any debris placed from the sidewalk toward your property will not be picked up (no pickup zone).
- Regular household trash and bagged debris will not be picked up with disaster debris. Follow your regular garbage removal schedule for those items.
