National Community Survey (NCS)

In 2023, the City conducted the National Community Survey (NCS), developed by the experts from the National Research Center at Polco. The NCS captures resident's opinions considering ten central facets of a community. To learn more, review the 2023 NCS Report for North Port.

Every day, North Port is shaped by citizens who go above and beyond, often without recognition. Whether it’s a neighbor who checks in on the elderly, a volunteer who serves meals to those in need, someone who mows their neighbors' lawns or even the person who rescued a cat stuck in a tree, these are the stories that make our city stronger, kinder and more connected.

Calling all explorers! We're proud to present North Port Hidden Gems, the official scavenger hunt for the City of North Port. This free scavenger hunt gives you the opportunity to discover new spots in our City, solve puzzles along the way and learn more about the place we call home.

Those who complete the challenge will be entered in a draw to win a North Port merch basket.

Residents of North Port can actively participate in city governance by attending public meetings and providing public comment. This allows citizens to voice concerns, share ideas and engage directly with elected officials and city staff on important local matters.
