Find activities that bring people together and add a little fun to your week. Our community programs offer chances to play, create, relax and connect with others of all ages. Whether you are looking for something active, social or hands-on, there is a program waiting for you.

Relax-A-Float

Looking for a relaxing time to enjoy the lazy river when the water park typically isn’t open? Join us for Relax-a-Float! This bonus program is open to those ages 18+ who are visiting the North Port Aquatic Center for the day, offering a peaceful way to float along the Relaxahatchee Lazy River—without the usual excitement of a busy water park.

Ages: 18+.
Fee: Daily admission or free to annual passholders. 
Time: Noon-2 p.m.
Location: North Port Aquatic Center, 6205 W. Price Blvd.
Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Scrapbooking

Turn favorite photos and meaningful moments into keepsakes you can enjoy for years to come. Scrapbooking workshops offer a welcoming, social place to work on personal projects while connecting with others who enjoy paper crafting.

Participants can create scrapbook layouts, handmade cards and seasonal or special projects. Explore different colors, patterns and design ideas as you arrange photos and decorative elements in a way that tells your story.

Bring a project already in progress or start something new during the workshop. Participants may bring their own materials, purchase supplies from the instructor or use a combination of both. Whether you are new to paper crafting or have years of experience, you will have dedicated time and space to create.

Pre-registration is not required; drop-in program.

Sunflower Hour

For our younger friends (ages 0-4), a time to come together and enjoy the Pelican Playground without the hustle and bustle of the full water park. Great for socialization!

Tot Time

Give your little one room to move, explore and play at Tot Time. This open-play program offers young children a welcoming space to enjoy age-appropriate toys such as blocks, push cars and playhouses.

Hands-on activity stations keep curious minds engaged while giving children opportunities to practice fine motor skills, problem-solving and coordination through play. With the freedom to choose activities at their own pace, children can try something new or return to a favorite toy.

Tot Time also gives children a chance to play alongside others, practice sharing and begin building social skills in a relaxed environment. It is an easy way for families to add active, imaginative play to their day.

Ages: 1-5
Fee: $4 residents/$5 non-residents

Time: 10 a.m.-noon
Location: George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way
Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays through May 27, 2027. 
Open play will not be available Oct. 22, Nov. 3 & 26, Dec. 24.
