Aquatics Classes and Programs

Register for classes listed below by calling the North Port Aquatic Center at 941-429-PARK(7275) and select option #1 for assistance or stop by the Aquatic Center in person. Waves Bootcamp
Come make waves in our all new bootcamp—a high-intensity year-round fitness class that will burn calories, tone muscles, and build core strength. You will be wave ready in no time!
Age: 11 and up
Fee: $8 per class or $40 for 8 Classes
Day/Time: Wednesdays, 5-6 p.m.

Babysitter Training Course
Develop your skills and assist others by providing a highly sought after service: childcare! This American Red Cross Babysitters Training Course teaches skills every sitter should know, including pediatric first aid and CPR.
Age: 11-15
Fee: $75
Two-day Sessions (Session 1) Friday, 8/4/23 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, 8/5/23 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (Session 2) Friday, 12/8/23 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, 12/9/23 from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.
First Aid, CPR, & AED Training
This American Red Cross-certified five-hour hands-on class prepares students to recognize and to respond appropriately in a
variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving children and adults. First Aid, CPR & AED training meets OSHA workplace requirements. Classes will be held at the Morgan Family Community Center (6207 W. Price Blvd.).
At the successful completion of this course, participants receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Class size is limited to 10 participants.
Age: 11 and up
Fee: $50
Day/Time: Saturdays; 8/19/23, 10/14/23, and 12/9/23 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Professional Rescuer CPR/First Aid/AED
This is a great class for both parents and childcare professionals. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim experiencing cardiac arrest. This class will also cover the Epi-pen use as well as asthma inhalers. Call the North Port Aquatic Center to schedule this program at 941-429-PARK (7275). The minimum class size is six (6) participants.

Dive into Fall
An adult only event. Select Thursdays, following the park closure.
Age: 18 and up
Fee: Free to passholders, included with daily admission fee.
Day/Time: August 17 (Lip Sync), September 14 (Splash Dance – 80’s/90’s dance party), October 19 (Blue Zone Trivia) 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Hydro-Fitness
Get active and fit without stress on your joints! Hydro-fitness utilizes a timed-interval format along with resistance-based exercise to target every major muscle group.
- Age: 11 and up
- Fee: $8/per class or $40 for 8 classes
- Day/Time: Tuesday/Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Sunflower Hour
For our younger friends, a time to come together and enjoy the Pelican Playground without the hustle and bustle of the full water park. Great for socialization!
- Age: 0 - 4
- Fee: $8/per class or $40 for 8 classes
- Day/Time: Program Starts 8/23/23 and runs through 10/27/23. Available on Wednesday/Friday from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Relax-A-Float
Looking for a relaxing time to enjoy the lazy river when the water park is not open? Join us for Relax-a Float! The Relaxahatchee Lazy river is open twice a week this fall! Come find your “inner tube!!”
- Age: 18 years of age and older
- Fee: Daily Admission Fee (Free to Annual Passholders)
- Program starts 8/15/23 and runs through 10/26/23. Available on Tuesday/Thursday from noon-1 p.m.
Safe @ Home
Join us for a free series focused on keeping you and those you love safe from learning the basics of CPR, to gaining valuable knowledge about how you and your loved ones can stay safe in, on, and around water.
October 4; 6-7 p.m.: Boating (North Port Aquatic Center)
