World's Largest Swimming Lesson

On June 26, 2025, swimmers of all ages joined us at the North Port Aquatic Center to take part in this global event focused on water safety and drowning prevention. It was an amazing opportunity to teach essential swim skills while being part of something BIG and helping to spread awareness about the importance of learning to swim.

Thank you to everyone who participated and to The Hadley for their in-kind donation.  A special shout out to our incredible Aquatics Team for making this event both fun and educational. Together, we're building a safer, stronger swimming community!

We were proud to receive local news coverage on FOX 4 News, spotlighting our efforts to combat Florida’s alarming drowning statistics and highlighting the role of early water safety education.  

 

 

This FREE event, created by the World Waterpark Association in 2010, raises awareness about the life-saving importance of teaching children to swim as a vital step in drowning prevention.
