Financial Assistance

The City of North Port provides financial assistance to families and individuals once within 12 months.

In order to receive financial assistance we require proof of residency in North Port. Financial assistance programs are based on current income eligibility, proof of residency, and availability of funds. Assistance is available in the following areas:

  • Rent/Mortgage
  • Electric
  • Water/Sewer

Youth Scholarship Program

The City of North Port also offers financial assistance to North Port children who are interested in participating in a Parks and Recreation Division program, such as summer camp. Apply for the Youth Scholarship Program.

IRS Tax Preparation Assistance

From February through mid-April, City of North Port's Family Service Center is a location for United Way of South Sarasota to provide FREE IRS tax preparation for local residents. Contact United Way of South Sarasota.
