GIS Day

GIS, which stands for Geographic Information Systems, are used in many areas of our lives. In local government, we use GIS for habitat sightings, the North Report portal and emergency services to name a few.

At our annual GIS Day event on Nov. 17, from 1-4 p.m., you can discover how the City and other local partners use GIS to serve you. This event will be at the Shannon Staub Library, 4675 Career Ln. 

Featured tables will include North Port Police Department, North Port Fire Rescue, North Port Natural Resources and other local partners across the region, such as Sarasota County, the City of Venice, Charlotte County and more.
