NORTH PORT, FL - North Port’s future awaits! The City of North Port invites the community to its 65th Birthday Celebration on June 18. This free, family-friendly event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the City Center Front Green, 4970 City Hall Blvd.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities and treats at the birthday bash, including taking a photo with a replica hot air balloon representing our city’s history and leaving their mark on a community art project.
On June 18, 1959, North Port was officially incorporated as a city, beginning a fast-tracked journey of growth, innovation and community spirit.
"North Port has come a long way since its incorporation in 1959, and we are excited to come together and honor our city's rich history and bright future,” said City Manager Jerome Fletcher. "This is North Port’s biggest year yet and I’m looking forward to what North Port is going to become.”
The City would like to extend its gratitude to the event sponsors and community partners, including Sarasota County, the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, North Port Art Center, HCA Florida Healthcare, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System and iHeartRadio for their support in making this celebration possible.
