Discover what North Port has to offer at Newcomer Day
Published on September 17, 2025
North Port Parks & Recreation Department would like to invite local nonprofits to take part in Newcomer Day on Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon. The free event, offered in collaboration with the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, will be hosted at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way.
Newcomer Day is designed to connect residents with resources, programs and services available in the community. The expo-style event will feature information tables hosted by local nonprofits, government agencies and businesses. Residents can explore opportunities, meet service providers and discover ways to get involved. Whether new to the city or longtime locals looking to learn something new, everyone is welcome.
For participating organizations, Newcomer Day provides an opportunity to showcase programs, expand visibility and build relationships. The event not only connects organizations with residents but also creates networking opportunities with other local groups and businesses. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
Nonprofit organizations interested in participating can complete the online registration form at NorthPortFL.gov/Newcomer.
