Registration is now open for the next round of applications for the North Port and Non-profits United Program, otherwise known as the NP2 Program, until Aug. 15.

The purpose of the program is to assist non-profits in achieving their mission objectives by integrating local municipal government with area non-profits serving North Port citizens. This collaborative effort will offer any non-profit serving the North Port community an opportunity to apply for a mission support item that will enhance and expand the agency’s programming needs.

To request a mission support item, North Port non-profits must submit an application requesting their needs. The application will entail and describe the intended community need and impact by the agency. North Port non-profits who apply must be in good financial standing and must provide the following with their application: Articles of Incorporation, IRS 501 (c) 3 Nonprofit Determination Letter, and if applicable the most recent IRS 990 form. All agencies must be active in Sunbiz.org at the time of application and receipt of items.

Please note: The program will allow area non-profits who serve North Port residents to apply for a mission support item that will not exceed $2,000. Eligible expenditures are mission support items only. Examples of eligible expenditures include but are not limited to essential equipment, appliances, machinery, or tools, etc. This program shall not support administrative or program costs.
