City seeks feedback on future identity refresh
Published on August 05, 2025
North Port is embarking on a city identity refresh and is inviting residents to play a key role in shaping the city’s future image. As a community on the rise, it’s time to update the way North Port visually and verbally presents itself, including revitalizing its vision, mission, values, logo, messaging and branding tools.
This initiative reflects the City’s pride and potential, ensuring North Port’s story is told clearly and consistently to residents and beyond. The refresh will not impact the official City Seal or badges used by police and fire.
“This refresh isn’t just about a new logo. It’s about listening to our community and local businesses and making sure North Port’s identity reflects who we are today and where we’re headed tomorrow,” Marketing & Engagement Manager Katya Sutherland said. “We’re doing this thoughtfully, strategically, and with respect for both our history and our budget.”
To that end, all North Port residents and stakeholders are invited to participate in a brief online survey. The survey covers topics such as what makes North Port unique, how it should be represented and which values matter most to the community. Input from the survey will guide the City’s strategic development, creative concepts and eventual rollout.
The City of North Port is committed to transparency throughout this process. Residents and local businesses or organizations will have additional opportunities to provide feedback before any final decisions are made. Updates and opportunities to get involved will be posted regularly as the refresh progresses.
