Shamrock Smash Pickleball Tournament serves up St. Patrick's Day fun

Pickleball players are invited to hit the courts and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Shamrock Smash Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, March 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is hosted by North Port Parks & Recreation and will take place at the Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W. Price Blvd.

The Shamrock Smash features co-ed doubles competition and is open to players of all skill levels. Teams of two will compete in a fast-paced, festive tournament atmosphere designed to bring together friendly competition and community spirit.

The tournament follows a single-elimination format, with the championship match played as a best-of-three series. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishing teams. The team entry fee is $25.

Participants can enjoy light snacks and refreshments throughout the day and are encouraged to stop by the photo booth area to capture the fun with their teammate. Players are also encouraged to dress in green to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day theme and bring extra energy to the courts.

Whether competing for the title or simply enjoying the game, the Shamrock Smash Pickleball Tournament offers a lively way to stay active, connect with others and celebrate the season. Registration is now open, and space may be limited.
