The City of North Port is inviting residents to take part in the next major step of its City Identity Refresh by voting on two proposed logo designs and accompanying color palettes for the updated North Port city logo.

North Port Parks & Recreation invites residents and their four-legged friends to celebrate peace, love and paws at Woofstock 2026 on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free, family-friendly event takes place at Butler Park, 6203 W. Price Blvd., and promises a lively day centered on pets, people and community connection.

North Port honors the life and service of Firefighter Victor Cleveland

North Port Fire Rescue, joined by the community and fire service family from across the region, honored the life and service of Firefighter/Engineer Victor Cleveland during a funeral service held on Jan. 14 at The Bridge Church in Venice. The service paid tribute to Cleveland’s years of dedicated service to North Port and his enduring legacy of honor, perseverance and service.
