Greenest Citizen Award

Do you know of someone who tries to share and celebrate the importance of plants and trees? Perhaps there is someone who continuously plants native "Florida Friendly" landscaping in their yard and helps others do the same.

The Greenest Citizen Award program is designed to recognize a North Port resident who has gone above and beyond to protect the environment by creating a more sustainable household or community.

The Greenest Citizen Award was created to allow residents to decide who they think should be recognized for outstanding environmental stewardship. Arbor Day is all about being environmentally aware and protecting the environment. We want to honor those who take that extra step and make a difference in the community in which they live.

The nominee will plant a memorial tree at one of the City’s parks to commemorate the previous year’s winner.

Congratulations to Jeremy Ansel, North Port's Greenest Citizen for 2025!
