Road Rehabilitation Project
Road resurfacing program
Every year, the City repairs and resurfaces roadways so they are safer, last longer and are less expensive to maintain. Roads are selected annually based on their condition and available funding. Over 266 miles of roadway have been rehabilitated since the 2012 referendum. The referendum allowed the City to issue bonds up to $46 million to finance these projects. A study completed last year found significant improvement in the pavement condition, noting that 85.5% of City roads were in "very good or excellent condition." Please see the list below for current projects scheduled for 2023-24.

How do I get my road paved?
The City develops its resurfacing list based on citizen requests. These requests can be made through the North Report app. All road requests for resurfacing are evaluated for priority in our resurfacing program. As our resurfacing budget is established, candidate roads for resurfacing are submitted to the City Commission for approval. Due to limited funding, it may be several years before a road enters the program. In the meantime, we will patch it as necessary. New roads are added to this list every year and are re-prioritized each year.
