Appliances and Bulk Metal

To schedule a bulk metal or appliance pickup, please read the guidelines below and then submit the request form or call Public Works Customer Service at 941-240-8050.

Appliances

The following Appliances/White Goods can be collected for free. To schedule a pick up, please submit the request form or call Public Works at 941-240-8050.

  • Washers and Dryers - remove doors
  • Window Air Conditioner Units
  • Water Conditioners
  • Water Heaters
  • Stoves
  • Refrigerators - discard food and remove door
  • Freezers - discard food and remove door
  • Dishwashers
  • Pool Heaters
  • Microwave Ovens

By law, you must remove doors from refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers and dryers, or similar airtight units before placing the item at the curb.

Bulk Metal

Bulk metal items are also eligible for free collection. Bulk metal includes items like:

  • Metal furniture
  • Grills
  • Bicycles
  • Canopy frames (10x10, 8x8, etc.)
  • Lawn mowers
