Linda YatesThe Records Section is responsible for collecting, disseminating, maintaining, filing and controlling departmental records through the use of automated electronic and hard file record keeping systems. In addition, they process and submit Uniform Crime Report statistics.

The Records Section provides copies of police reports to citizens and members of the media. There are three ways a person can obtain copies of reports from the Records Bureau:

  1. By mail: Send ATTN Records to 4980 City Hall Blvd., North Port, FL 34286.
  2. In person: Visit the North Port Police Department at 4980 City Hall Blvd., North Port, FL 34286.
  3. Online: Request on the Citizen Services Program Website

There is a minimal fee for obtaining copies of reports, and a research fee may apply if extensive research is required. The Records Section is the contact point for all public records requests.

The Records Section is currently open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for your convenience and is closed Saturday and Sunday, and all major holidays.
