Pressure Wash Containers

Are your trash containers stinking up your garage? You don't want to know what's growing inside those bins?

Did you know it only takes one bag of trash containing common household items like tissues, napkins, diapers, eggs, raw meat, spoiled milk, and rotting produce to infect your trash bins with harmful bacteria and germs such as Salmonella, E coli, Listeria, or more?  It can only take hours for bacteria to multiply by the thousands and one single touch to potentially become infected.

Trash containers are a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. Dirty garbage containers release an unpleasant odor and can become an attractant for insects and rodents. Cleaning containers regularly will help reduce the risks associated with all these health concerns.

Cleaning containers yourself isn’t effective or environmentally safe. Using cool water from the hose will not eliminate bacteria. If you try to introduce harsh chemicals to clean the bin you are exposing yourself to even more dangers, the bacteria, and the chemicals. If the water is not properly collected and disposed of the used water, it becomes a pollutant in your yard, driveway, sidewalk and ultimately the storm drains.

The City of North Port offers a pressure wash service to clean and disinfect garbage and both recycle containers for $55.00.  Additional Containers can be cleaned for $55.00 Each.

The City of North Port Solid Waste Division not only clean your containers, but we disinfect, sanitize and deodorize them as well.
