New Development and Construction

North Port is a vibrant and ever growing community. When developers, both commercial and residential, consider building in North Port one of the first contacts they make is to the Utilities Department. The following fees are in effect for water and sewer services as of January 2017. If you have any questions or would like more information about property-specific connection fees, please contact the Utilities Field Service Office at (941) 240-8000.

Please check the availability of water and/or sewer services and backflow inspection due date by visiting the City's GIS Hub and selecting the City of North Port Utilities Map

Avoid Illegal Connection Fines by Utilizing Hydrant Meters

It is North Port Utilities’ intent to protect our water system from contamination and theft by stepping up enforcement of illegal connections throughout our service area. As one of the fastest growing communities in the nation, we ask that developers advise their project managers and subcontractors to obtain water on job sites legally. State law mandates that a backflow prevention device MUST be in place to obtain water legally to protect the municipal water supply.

Meter sets and hydrant meters with backflow prevention devices may be obtained through North Port Utilities by calling 941-240-8000 or Hydrant@NorthPortFL.gov
